Losing your Faith is just NOT the way!!

By on Jan 24, 2013 in Challenges for Start-ups, Entrepreneurship

I have had gone through this feeling many times, several times and every time I realize that losing our own faith & confidence is not going to help. It never will help.

Why do it then?

This is the easiest thing to do. Yes, all you have to do is – to drop your dreams & ambitions, to swallow the excitement that winning spirits bring in, to decide to sit idle. Nah! I thought this is way too easy!

Why NOT do it then?

Certainly, we have got better things to do. Very many better. Think – Explore – Try – Fail and Redo! Wow! Now that sounds very creative, immensely positive and also lot of exercise. And that makes it a healthier way.

As humans, we all choose the easy way – that’s mostly an obvious choice. The repercussions are normally thought at an after stage so it is usually not preferred but then we need to do something about it.

What can be done?

Think & Plan Long-term

Practice this, start thinking long-term. Something that excites you today might turn obsolete tomorrow. We cannot keep it that way, out time & effort are too valuable – we must invest them with a lot of plan and thinking. Thoughtful & Long-term plans will help you.

Set the GOAL right

Setting a GOAL isn’t an easy job. We got to do it carefully. We must assess the output and the journey of reaching it, the various phases, the expectations towards it and also the sundry plan for the unexpected. We need to identify the challenges, the aspirations, the network and the right people.

Have Flexible ideology

It is always the dream or the goal which is ultimate. People who keep rigid ideology meet more difficulties – that could be operational or even emotional. I recommend flexible ideology. Any task we take up on any day – we must be flexible about it. Flexible do not mean taking the short-cuts, it means reaching out and adopting the better ways. Rigidity is certainly not the way, flexibility is.

Make Learning a Habit

Constant Learning is a must. Break the ‘I know it all shackles’ and try to conceive the ‘I would like to know about it’ notion and see how simple the way will become. Remember, The world is constantly evolving – whether you are into a job, a business woman, an entrepreneur, a homemaker – we all need to learn & adopt.  Constant Learning shall become a habit – a flexible approach to life will never bring any hindrances – like age, different set of work, societal inhibitions, peer pressure etc. We shall always be ready to learn new things.

The least we can do is – to practice above points and they will leave us with great lessons.
